Community Media Center

Community Media Center | Access Humboldt

Access Humboldt's Community Media Center (CMC) serves as a regional hub for PEG broadband communications and digital media production. Members of Access Humboldt can make use of the studio facility, editing room and workstations and check out equipment.

Requests for playback are not limited to AH members - any resident of Humboldt County may submit a locally produced program or request to import a program from an outside source.

AH members can sign up for a free CMC Orientation session as well as Basic Field and Studio Certification classes for a small fee. After participating in those classes members are eligible to check out Electronic News Gathering kits, and schedule studio time.

Editing workstations are open to members' use with no additional charge and encompass video, audio, graphics and animation editing capability.

The CMC also operates an archiving system for content from CICIV10 and many locally produced programs aired on AH12 (subject to producer's approval).

CMC Operating Hours:
Tuesday-Friday Noon-8pm
Saturdays 10am-6pm
