Along with our daily operations of maintaining and promoting free speech in our community, we occasionally produce live and pre-recorded programming. On June 5th, just after the polls close, Access Humboldt will light up the Community Media Center to bring:

- up-to-the-minute election results,
- live interviews with candidates and campaigners, as well as
- pre-recorded segments of the issues facing the voters.

Election Night programming will run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 and will include highlights from the various debates, candidate interviews and in-depth reports on local and state ballot initiatives which have appeared on Access Humboldt Channel 11 and Channel 12 over the last several months.

In addition to live Election Night coverage on June 5, a follow-up half-hour news special played throughout the next day, June 6, that will provide a complete wrap-up of election results and highlights from our live show.

Our Guests
Some of our invited guests include Supervisor Jimmy Smith, former Supervisor Jill Duffy, District Attorney Paul Gallegos, Harbor Commissioner Richard Marks, Arcata Mayor Michael Winkler, Eureka Councilmember Melinda Ciarabellini, Fortuna Councilmember Mike Losey and other current and former elected officials. We’re also looking to bring local independent media makers such as KMUD News Director Terri Klemetson and Arcata Eye Publisher Kevin Hoover with live remote feeds. Local bloggers and commentators are also on the invite list.
