You don't need to be a developer or technologist to participate -- at this stage we're just seeking good ideas. All are welcome!

On Monday August 20, 2012 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, Access Humboldt is
hosting "Eureka Idea Jam" at the Community Media Center - Eureka High School
This event that is part of a national project called Mozilla Ignite.

Monday's event is part of the Mozilla Ignite Challenge -
Mission: "Build Apps that Change the World!"

Between now and August 23rd, hosting a big public brainstorm - online
and at salons and hack days across the U.S.

Eureka Idea Jam is a chance to share your idea,
connect with other innovators and meet potential collaborators.

"Mozilla Ignite is an open innovation
challenge hosted by Mozilla and the National Science Foundation as
part of the US Ignite initiative. The goal: imagine and build apps
that show the full potential of next-generation networks, in areas
that matter -- like healthcare, education, energy, manufacturing and
public safety."

The "Eureka Idea Jam" will be an informal brainstorm session -
gathering ideas about future possibilities. We'll consider some big
fun questions: What would you do with an Internet without limits? And
how can next-generation apps change the world?

Attendees will be rewarded.

We'd particularly like to hear from local residents of Humboldt County.

"The Eureka Idea Jam is another important part of Access Humboldt's ongoing efforts to develop sustainable community broadband and media access for our region.
