This is an open, public meeting of the AH Board of Directors. The Public Comment session is at the top of the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes each. The meeting will be held in the Community Media Center studio, on the campus of Eureka High School. Please enter campus through the Faculty/Visitor/Accessible parking lot off of Del Norte Street, near J and follow the signs to the Community Media Center. The meeting agenda is posted below. NOTE: The Board typically meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. This will be the only meeting of the Board for May 2013.

Community Media Center (CMC) Orientation

Open to the public, free of charge. Learn about your local Access Media resources available at Access Humboldt, which include a recording studio, field equipment, editing stations, cable TV channels, online archive, and more.

Get the scope on Access Humboldt's history, mission, operation, procedures, and learn how YOU can get involve with local media productions, free speech advocacy and making this community health and informed.

The Community Media Center (CMC) Orientation is a prerequisite for all other training (field productions, video editing, studio production...)

Basic Field Certification

This three-hour course teaches participants the proper use and handling of the basic field production equipment available for check out from AH, as well as familiarizing them with proper check-out policies and procedures.

Lighting Workshop

This 2-hour workshop will focus on basic lighting principles, differences, how to handle a floor light kit and how to utilize the grid lighting the it's fullest potential as well as some tricks and affordable solutions.

Space is limited. The fee for this class is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. Pre-payment will guarantee your spot in the class.
