Open, free of charge, to members of Access Humboldt. This class is requi= red before taking any other classes (Field Production Certification, video = editing, studio production...). Participants will be given a full tour of t= he Community Media Center (CMC) facilities, and will be introduced to the c= ommunity resources and common procedures at Access Humboldt.

This class includes hands-on instruction in the basics of field producti= on and electronic news gathering (ENG), as well as best-practices for low-b= udget video production. Class attendance is required before any member may = check out the Canon HV20 and HV40 camera kits available to members of Acces= s Humboldt. Member Orientation IS a prerequisite for this class. There is a= $30 fee for the Field Production Certification class.
