EUREKA -- Sean McLaughlin, executive director of Access Humboldt, has been selected by the Community Technology Foundation to join the ZeroDivide Fellowship.
The two-year fellowship aims to increase the capacity of leaders in California to promote social justice through the use of information and communication technology.
â€Rural communities of the Redwood Coast have particular challenges and opportunities with regard to technology and innovation,†McLaughlin said in a press release. “So I am delighted to have this opportunity to join with colleagues from across the state and build a movement that brings people together.â€
McLaughlin is one of 16 leaders from California to be selected for the fellowship, which will include four sessions focusing on strategic and innovative ways to use technology to improve communities.
